Movin' on Out!
THE JOURNEY TO FINDING A PLACE CALLED HOME
The four of us went on a serious house hunt for about a week. We ended up looking at about 5 different places. The first place we went to was an apartment community right across the street from my work. Darren, Dan and I were on time. We decided not to wait for Ray and just start talking to the leasing lady. Ray came in about 10 minutes after we did and I'm pretty sure the first thing he noticed was how gorgeous she was. At first I wasn't sure if Ray was even going to live with us but after he saw her I think he was convinced. She took us around and showed us everything we wanted to see: The 24 hour gym, pool with cabanas, club house, BBQs, on-off switch community outdoor fireplace, a two bedroom model, and the 24 HOUR INDOOR BASKETBALL COURT. Needless to say we were pretty impressed. The place was pretty pricey and we thought it would be a good idea to check out what else was available.
Ooooo I hate this place: The second place we went to was close but further down the street. I would definitely have to take the lightrail. This place was cheaper which was a plus, so I was excited to see what they had to offer. We walk in and the guy (who only greeted us when I walked into their office and made my presence clear) told me in a queer voice to, "Please wait in the waiting area, I just need to finish this real quick and I will help you." So right off the bat I could tell Ray was not as impressed with this place based on the leasing man/women. We saw the pool (with no cabanas) the gym (that closed at 10pm), and a two bedroom model ( with a walk in closet that was more like two closets and a hall way to the bathroom). Other events happened at this place which I'm not going to go into detail. As you can tell we DID NOT LIKE IT. So right after we concluded that it was not worth the saved money.
Clean FOB house: The next place we went to was a 4 bedroom townhouse really close to Great America. We walk in and the first thing I smell was shitake mushrooms. The house smelled pretty Asian. The owners mother greeted us and went straight into business. She explained that they bought this house new in two-zero-zero-two. The place was really nice with lots of common area space. The kitchen was pretty big and the garage was pretty big. The one thing that worried me was she really kept stressing how they really want clean tenants. She also kept telling us how everything was new because they hardly use it. The rooms were pretty small but livable . She showed use each room and all were REALLY clean except for the ROOMATE!!! He was SUCH A PIG! I mean it looked like he didn't vacuum that week and there was some stuff on the floor. But compared to the rest of the house this guy was a big. We left keeping this place in mind. The master bedroom was GIGANTIC compared to the other rooms and having a garage would be nice. But the place would be hard to keep THAT clean and it smelled totally Chinese.. Like moldy towels or something.. you know that Chinese smell.
Nice House but Dan's car might not make it up the hill: The next place we went to was a 3 bd/3.5 bath house. It was three levels and REALLY nice. HUGE KITCHEN , great appliances . I mean one downside is one of the bedrooms is like on the bottom floor right next to the garage and the rooms weren't that big. But overall the place was really nice! The Biggest thing about it was it was pretty far from where the majority of us worked and in order to get there you have to drive up this pretty big hill. Dan was afraid his car wouldn't be able to make that drive everyday. There were also a lot of people interested and we figured we couldn't beat a couple in getting the home.
I am not longer interested I know where I want to live: So one of the last places we checked out was an apartment community that looked nice from the outside. But we checked it out after we went back to the first place and saw the 3 bdrm apartment and fell in love with it. Needless to say we already decided on where we wanted to live but wanted to keep looking to see what else was out there. Like I said the community looked really nice from the outside but when we went to see the apartment that was not the case. Darren said that the outside community was about 25 times nicer then inside the apartments.
So our verdict is the community across the street from my work. Just a short walk away. We move in August 24th so COME VISIT!! Ohh.. did I mention that you can get pool side massages in the summer? Yes, I'm excited. I have a new home..

FAKE
Right now ALL I've been thinking about is the word FAKE. Okay this is all I'm going to say.. Baron was running around all over the bay telling everyone that he was going to stay and wouldn't opt out. So, he's a fake. BOOO to him.
Moving on... to fake boobies... I mean I understand that in this day and age "looks" mean a lot. But haven't we all been told its whats inside that matters? haha I know thats crap. I can understand a couple of reason's to get fake boobies:
1. Your sick, you have cancer and they're going to cut off your boob's. When this happens I can totally understand why women would want to have surgery. Losing your boobies is like losing your femininity .
2. Your fat, like big boned and you have NO BOOBIES. I feel bad for these people. I mean thats not fair.
If you're a tiny women and have no boobies I can kinda see that as normal. I mean boobies are made of mostly fat. So if you have no fat you wont have boobies.

THREE PLUS in Concert!
The night started off at Devin's restaurant. Ocean Blue Sushi Club on El Camino. It's not much of a club it really just a restaurant with nice decorations and fancy toilets. Anyways, Devin promised promised promised me that if we went there then we would get a free bottle of Sake. The big bottles. There ended up being about 12 of us and Devin's restaurant LIED. In order to get the free bottle we needed to buy two bottles to get the 3rd one free. Okay... way to lie to your business. I think its going to take a little more to get us to come next time. The food was good.. You know the normal Korean Sushi and Sashimi. Actually the sashimi is really good. We got a $50 and I think Travis, Mark and I ate up all the Uni. YUM!
Moving onto the concert. So I didn't think the concert was going to be HUGE since it was at a club that was located in a strip mall on Lawrence Expressway. I was smart and got my tickets a week in advanced online through sunjose.com. I was also a very nice gf and got tickets for not only Darren but also his brother, brothers friend and two cousins. Not only am I a nice gf but I'm also a nice sister and friend b/c I got tickets for Michelle and Ray also. So while we were eating at Ocean Blue, Devin gets a call from Reid that all the tickets were SOLD OUT!! So now I'm thinking I'm really smart for getting my tickets early. We get there while the opening band was playing. Run and get drinks then move up to right in front of the stage where Reid was standing. Pretty much once we got there we didn't move. The second band, Aloha Brewed was REALLY good. Michelle pretty much loved whoever was standing right in front of her and had to take a picture with each of them. The night was filled with LOTs of dancing and Lots of singing. Three Plus came out and everyone was singing, dancing and sweating hahahaha... It was definitely a fun night and I think everyone really enjoyed themselves. Actually I know they did. They ended up playing until about 1:30am. I'm not going to lie. I started to become REALLY tired near the end. I started to put my head on Darren's shoulders and would close my eyes and sway to the music. I really need to work on that. Needless to say as SOON as we got home I fell asleep on the chair. I think it took me a good 1.5 seconds to fall into a deep sleep.

Tysons 1st Birthday Party
So Darren's Nephew has turned 1 and the family planned a birthday party at the house. If I were to guess how many people were there I would say 60. So Saturday I woke up pretty early to set up decorations and help wherever I could. I'm not going to lie I was a little hungover. The nice thing is that Darren's Mom does NOT stress out at all for parties. Its probably the complete opposite of my mother. I wanted to help more and I thought there was a lot of things to do but there wasn't. Which was actually really good b/c I was hungover. The party was great, the weather was great and having a pool is great. I went swimming for a little bit but again I got really tired. There were times I would sit there in my chair and just close my eyes for a few seconds to make myself feel better. Finally I just said whatever, and went to bed. I think I slept for a good 2.5 hours. I don't know whats wrong with me. Because later that night around 9 I fell asleep again and then slept for another like 12 hours.
Sunday June 29, 2008
AHHH REFRESHED!!! I felt so much better on Sunday. Totally more awake. Darren and I started off by visiting his Auntie Di who couldn't make it to the party. We then went to play basketball. OKAY I always complain about how I want to play more ball and how I never get to and blah blah blah.. So we go play with Darren's team. Who are like big white dudes. 1. I'm like a girl 2. It was FREAKIN' Hot. So I played two games left to get gatoride and a slurpee and then played the last one. I sat out for a good like 5 games when I got the slurpee though and I was still super tired. I hate playing in the heat. I was planning on heading back to Oakland this day but decided to stay and hang out with Mark for his last night, eat dinner and watch P.S I Love you.
The move was pretty good. It was really sad and all I could think about was my cousin Yogi who passed away earlier this year. I really miss her. I didnt get to finish the whole movie because Darren's cousins came over to drink with Mark on his last night in town. UHHH so the tiredness continues. We ended up drinking until like 1:45. Well I drank till like 1 and then sneaked out to go to sleep. And now I'm at work.. Tired AGAIN!!! I think I'm going to go home early.. like right now... okay, till next time.

Drakes
Yay! We wont the SHIP!! The friendship game that is. I didn't expect greatness but I do think our team has the potential. I mean we didn't have two key players this weekend. Michi was playing with her old owls team and Kat was in Washington.
Our first game we played against a team from LA called Who Nu. We totally BLEW-IT! At one point we were up by 15 points and we had a 10 pt lead with 2 minutes to go. Yes, we beat ourselves. The game ended up going into overtime and the weakest plalyer on their team ends up scoring this panicked 3 pointer. SO WEAK!!!! It's okay we'll get them next time.
The second game we played against my old Diablo team. We got killed. They beat us on the 3 and our match ups were horrible. But the thing that pissed me off the most was at the end of the game and I had the ball and one of my old teammates (JENNY, hahah I like her) runs me over and takes out my leg. Totally disjoints my knee. NO CALL! When I went up to the ref after the play he tells me how she knocks the ball out of my hands. I'm sorry NO, my knee F*&^%) HURTS! So when I tell him he goes, "Oh" and walks away. That GOD DAMN F()&*N ASSHOLE!! As my dad would say, " It's okay, people like that are going to die!!!" For some reason whenever I rethink those words it makes me feel a lot better! hahaha...
For the last game there isn't much to say. We killed them by 38. For the weekend I played pretty well. On saturday I was 100% from the freethrow line and 11 for 13 total. Not too shabby. I'm sure sore though. I'm going to need to take a nice HOT bath and get some Ice for the knee... Man I'm getting old.

Alicia Key's SURPISE!!!
The concert started at 9 and so we decided to eat dinner at the Red Crane before hand. The Red Crane is in Cupertino and is owned by my cousin's really good friend Royce Mori. It is AWESOME!!! We had to figure out a way to give the tickets to Michelle and Lorin so they would be totally surprised. Erin put them in little gift card boxes and I stuck them to the waitress to bring out. It was so cute! She brought them all out on a plate with a little candle on it. Erin has the pictures. The girls opened the boxes and it took them a while to realize what it was. They were staring staring.. and were like "COOL" then Lorin goes, "When is it???" haha and then some more looking and finally Michelle goes, "IT'S TODAY!!!!!!" Hahaha it was classic!
The food was FABULOUS!! I love the Red Crane. If you're ever in the south bay you need to try it. It's Asian Fusion and everything was delicious. There was 7 of us and each of us got at choose a dish.. some two...
Red Crane Sashimi: Yummie! It was perfect b/c there were 7 of us and 7 pieces. It also comes with sauces (5 of them) each served in a soup spoon.
Shaking Beef: So everything is Yummie. This is pretty much marinated beef cubes. It was good!
Thai Clams and Roti Prada: It's like Thai curry with clams and it comes with this crispy flaky bread. Very BOM! We started pouring the sauce over our rice. You need to try it.
Cha-Shu Black Cod: I think this is pretty much everyone's favorite dish. It's really buttery. It's pretty much like candy fish.
DePesto Roll: No rice in this roll. Fish rolled in Cucumber and then placed in a bowl of Pesto. Very Yummie... Not the typical roll.
Toro Tataki: You look at the dish and you wonder where the fish is. It was cut into like 8 small pieces of toro with a slice of jalapino on it. It was BOM! It totally melts in your mouth!
Coffee glazed Short Ribs: I've been to this restaurant before and this is a new dish. OMG SO AMAZING!!! The meat is already pulled off the bones and it just like melts in your mouth. The flavor is also explosive!
Garlic Chow Mein: Always Yummie!!! haha.. It's garlicy and peppery... Very peppery but not to spicy b/c my mom can eat it. Very flavorful!
Finally to Dessert. We ordered a butt load of dessert!
3 Pana Cottas: Each comes with a trio of pana cottas: green tea, Manderine orange, and red bean And yes we got 3 of them!
Shaved ice with Ice Cream and red bean. Okay, they have every flavor imaginable. We got Palmogranite, Blood Orange, and one more I forgot.
Berry Crumble: It's a cobbler. It's a bomb cobler! It comes out hot with melted ice cream on top. SOoo Yummie!
Damn, I'm getting hungry just talking about this food. We finished really fast and everything came out SUPER FAST! So we had plenty of time to make it to the concert.
THE CONCERT!!
So we got there about 30min early and walked around got some drinks. Then made it up to our seats. We were in the second to last row. So the order of the show goes: Jordan Sparks, Neo, Alicia Keys. Half way though Jordan Sparks this women next to me goes, "Uhhhh I dont even want to sit there anymore" So i ask her, "What happened?" Then I look and the guy sitting a couple seats down on the top row is like hunched over and everyone in front of him has left. There was puke all on his pants and some on the seat in front of him. GROSS!!! SO HAPPY I WASN'T SITTING IN FRONT OF HIM!!! So half way though Neo two guys come up with a clearer and some like towels. One of the guys starts walking down the row looking for the "spill" It was weird b/c the people in the back row behind us didn't realize that the guy like 5 seats down from them was puking out his brains and was pretty much passed out. Once the cleaner dude reaches the guy he looks at him.. and then just walks away back to the stairs. He goes to his friend and you can tell he was like.. Okay, we need more help. So they leave. Then later some more like EMT people come up with red back packs. Two of them look at him and then use their radio and leave. THEN a total of 4 EMT people come up. They make everyone in our two rows clear out. (All during Neo's performance) So as we are walking down I notice 4 empty seats. I tell Darren and Michelle that we should just go and sit in those until we can go up or someone kicks us out. Here's a picture of the guy getting taken down the stairs in a chair (HE COULD NOT WALK)
Anyways, it sucks for that guy. Didn't get to see any of the concert. But it was great for us. We got WAY better seats. And nobody ended up coming. So we sat there the WHOLE TIME!!! Michelle took hella pictures. Uhhh.. I HAD SO MUCH FUN!!! Alicia keys was amazing. My favorite part was her playing the Piano upside down.
She's amazing and it was an amazing show. If you didn't get tickets and you didn't get to go.. I'm sorry that sucks. Because the concert rocked!!!!

When are you TOO old to play basketball?!?!
So this past Monday I went out to play some pick up with my friends. We play at the Cisco Campus and usually just wonder around to a court to find others to play. We found some older men to play 5x5 against. There were a couple of guys who were in their 60s playing. Just the fact that they were still playing made me feel like a wuss. I'm 23 and complaining about how much this or that hurts. So my friend Ray who is 24, , 6'2 and probably like 225 was guarding one of them. Okay, I know as you get older things usually don't work as well. I mean I can tell just from the shape I was in during high school to now. But this didn't happen to this man. Ray was getting ran off the court. I don't know how many times I had to try to run back to pick up his man. I mean he probably can't make hard cuts or do a fancy spin move but he could run up and down the court a couple of times before Ray ran up and down once. hahahaha Okay, maybe that is a slight exaggeration but you get what I'm saying.
Then on Tuesday I had a league game with the girls in San Francisco. We are an all asian team and we played against these big farmer girls. The one I was guarding probably out weighted me by 60 lbs. That is not an exaggeration. At the end of the game I ended up with a bruised chin, bleeding lip and a jammed finger. My first through is.... I'm getting too old for this. But then I have to think of the 60 yr old man that ran Ray and keep it up. If I could run half as well as he does for about half his age I'll be happy.

8:42 PM: Almost another Hour has passed. Some of us look a little bit more faded then we did an hour before!
8:12 PM- We are all starting to feel a little tipsy! I love these girls!!!

End of the season :(
Both players were confident Mullin would stay true to his word and keep them in Oakland.
"I'm coming back," Ellis said.
"It's great. It's where I want to be," Biedrins added.
YES.. Music to my eyes. I tried to read these quotes in their accents.. It made me smile..hahahaha... Oh and Baron.. Mullin sounds like he's sure he'll be back. The thing is WE SHOULD PAY THEM. The Warriors made a killing this year. The Warriors set a single-season franchise attendance record with a per-game average of 19,631. All I have to say to all you Warriors fans out there is COME OUT, BUY YOUR GEAR and help make it possible to have another exciting season!

For all you Zebra players
San Francisco hires Rex Walters as new basketball coach
By JOSH DUBOW, AP Sports Writer 2 hours, 37 minutes ago
SAN FRANCISCO (AP)—San Francisco lured former NBA player Rex Walters away from Florida Atlantic to take over its struggling basketball program.
Walters, who had a 31-33 record in two seasons for the Owls, was set to be formally introduced at a news conference Monday afternoon.
Walters takes over for Jessie Evans, who was forced to take a leave of absence in the middle of last season and then was fired last month. Eddie Sutton took over the program on an interim basis for the remainder of the season as the Dons finished 10-21 in their third straight losing season.
Walters will be the third new coach in the eight-team West Coast Conference, following Tom Asbury at Pepperdine and Bill Bayno at Loyola Marymount.
Walters inherits a roster led by Dior Lowhorn, who was No. 1 in the WCC in scoring at 20.5 points per game last season.
Walters spent one year as an assistant at Florida Atlantic before taking over the program when Matt Doherty left to coach SMU. The Owls went 15-13 in Walters’ first season, before falling to 16-20 this season. Walters previously spent two years as an assistant at Valparaiso.
Walters was selected 16th overall by New Jersey in the 1993 NBA draft and played seven seasons for the Nets, Philadelphia and Miami. He averaged 4.6 points per game in his career.
How cool is that?!?! I have a feeling a lot more J-leaguer's are going to make it out to the games.
Peitrus wants to stay!
Pietrus decides he wants to stay
Now, he'd like to take those sentiments back.
When the Warriors, unmoved by Pietrus' pleas, held onto the fifth-year forward as the non-waiver trade deadline came and went on Feb.21, the widely held consensus — supported by one of Pietrus' own agents — was that he would walk out of Oakland as an unrestricted free agent at season's end and take up employment with any one of 29 other NBA teams before consenting to return to the Warriors.
But Pietrus made it clear in an exclusive interview with Bay Area News Group-East Bay that he's very much open to the idea of staying with the only NBA team he's ever known.
"I know everybody in the organization, I know every player, so for me, if they want me, I'll stay," Pietrus said. "I think when you look at the team, I'm one of the fan favorites, and one of the team's franchise players, I hope, and then I would like to remain here if they are going to sacrifice for me."
Warriors executive vice president Chris Mullin, who could see nine of his 14 current players become free agents this summer, is amenable to considering such a move.
"Yeah, I'm definitely open to that. Always have been," Mullin said. "I have great respect for him as a player and as a person."
You'dbe willing to bring back a guy who said 20 times in the space of a seven-minute press briefing that he wants to be "moved" or "traded"?
"I never judge a guy when he's emotional," Mullin said. "What's more, Mickael's been here a long enough time to know him. So no, (the tirade) never swayed me, one way or the other, in my feelings about him."
What may sway potential suitors — be they the Warriors or other teams — is the 16-game stretch he's had since Feb.26. Getting 27.3 minutes per game, Pietrus has averaged 11.8 points plus 6.4 rebounds and 1.2 steals per contest. He's shooting 50.3 percent from the floor and 40.0 percent from 3-point range.
There are still issues that would require some resolution, however, beginning with salary. Last summer, Pietrus was looking for a deal starting at or near the midlevel exception of $5.36 million. The Warriors will likely consider that only if they think Pietrus is going to be a rotation player for all 82 games, something that wasn't the case this season.
But even more than that, there's the matter of how Pietrus would fit with the Warriors of the future. His run of success has come since Nelson began using him defensively on smaller players, allowing the 6-foot-6, 215-pounder to exploit an advantage in athleticism. Who's to say that's going to remain the case next season?
"Because I'll talk to coach," Pietrus said. "I'm going to take coach to a nice steakhouse. I haven't talked to him yet. I was able to help the team in the second part of the season, and to average almost a double-double from a guard is rare. So I'm going to — if I get this playing time next year at the beginning of the season — try to average a double-double and try to help the team be in a better position than we are now."
Then there's positioning on offense. Right now, Pietrus is used primarily as a 3-point shooting power forward; the Warriors try to match him up against a bigger defender who will have trouble getting out to Pietrus' favorite spots to launch treys in a timely manner.
He only sees a handful of minutes at the shooting guard and small forward spots because the Warriors already have three perimeter stars in Baron Davis, Monta Ellis and Stephen Jackson. Nevertheless, Pietrus envisions himself taking on a larger role if he's a Warrior in 2008-09.
"Next year, I think that Coach will allow me to do more things on the floor, and allow me to have more responsibility," Pietrus said. "Our main goal is ... to make the team better, and obviously the player is going to be better too."
Some Funny Quotes
- This Quote happened in the 7th grade. My good friend Lauren almost beat this girls ass in one of the games. After Lindsey held her back I asked my dad, "What would happen if Lauren actually fought that girl?"
- "Well it depends, if Lauren got her ass kicked three games. If she kicked that girls ass, just one"
- " Did you know, you don't get your period when your pregnant?" Lauren H. age 18
- "It's okay Tyler, kids like that are going to die" my dad, after some boys were making fun of Tyler's weight.
- "You punch my stomach and I'll break your hand" Tyler

It's a good night when the Warriors win!
He was the only warrior player to bring some excitement to the game. I mean Monta is always fun to watch. But the theres were just going through the motions.
Besides the win and Mickael the night was pretty sad. The Stanford womens team lost in the NCAA finals and Denver beat the Clippers causing us to stayed tied for 8th.
The game is on at 5 tonight against Denver. I will be watching the game at home. GO WARRIORS!!!

Generation Y
We also made all of our meals. We cooked Yaki Soba for lunch and California rolls, Futamaki, and Chawamushi for dinner. I must say it was all VERY GOOD!!! As a group we also went the Thalassas for a quick cocktail before dinner. I just took a shot of Hen and decided that getting trashed before dinner would be a bad idea. After everything was over we had a reflection period where we decided to form a committee to plan next years conference. Everyone had a really good time and that made me really happy. I can't wait for next year.

Warrior Game NOT on TV
For all of you that follow the Warriors you know that EVERY game is an important game. Well Tuesday night the network didn't think so. They decided that it wasn't important enough to televise. BOOOOOO. So I wrote a letter to Bob Fitzgerald an announcer for the Warriors and KNBR. Here it is:
And here is their BORING response:
All--
Thanks for your e-mails to Fitz about the Warriors/Spurs game not being televised. However, any questions about the Warriors not being on TV should be sent to tgriggs@comcastsportsnet.com. Thanks.
